Gregory Mirow has created a collection of infinitely variegated designs based on the original paisley pattern. The absolute idea of the original is not shown ; these are variations. The original design originates in Kashmir, India , and gained popularity in Victorian Great Britain as the motif on shawls made in Paisley, Scotland which were a less costly adaptation of the 'cashmeres' imported from India.
