This is a wonderful addition to our Nature section and just about the most comprehensive collection available. The engravings date from the 1840's to the turn of the century. All the plants, flowerss , trees and herbs are identified by their Latin and or common names and are arranged by family. The engravings are clear and detailed and as the title says - there are over 2,000 illustrations to choose from. There are also appendices on food, medicinal herbs, and plants used in decoration- including borders and motifs.
