One of the most important sources for the study of pre-Columbian religion, the Codex Borgia is filled with images related to calendrical, cosmological, ritual and divinatory matters. It is thought to be a religious document from a sacred shrine, originating around 1400 A.D. in the Southern Central Highlands of Mexico. Restored from the original in the Vatican Library, with anthropological introduction.
